highlight your creativity. Beginning with the selection of wood and its many varieties,
some interesting construction changes and decorative surface techniques, you can add

Jim will review the basics of wood selection and show you how the various species and
cuts of wood as well as how to finish them will add to the final appeal of your project. This
session will also cover project construction. See how setting up a table saw and the use
of a few jigs to create laminations and tapers can add to the appearance of drawer and
leg assemblies.

The eye is drawn to the face and sides of most projects. Learn how to add uniqueness
by veneering or inlaying these surfaces. Jim will show you simple techniques to make
your work stand out. You will also see how miter saw set up and a few tricks make
perfect miters simple.

Having a number of additional embellishment techniques comes in handy when you need
that extra something for your project. Jim will teach you how to use banding, marquetry,
tinted epoxy and even glass etching to add your own personal signature to that special
